Gabby Morin
Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Gabby Morin, and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Lakewood Veterinary Hospital.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
I love reading, it's one of my favourite hobbies, and my goal is to one day have a personal library in my house.
I also love going camping with my friends — during the summer weekends you won't find me in the city!
Favorite Part of My Job
My favourite part of my job is being able to be a part of the process of helping an animal heal and regain their health.
Some of my favourite parts of veterinary care are working with rescues and shelters, as well as observing soft tissue surgeries and X-rays for foreign bodies.
Why I Chose This Profession
Growing up I always loved animals and I wanted to become a doctor. As I got older I realized I could mix both of my passions together and get into the Veterinary field.
Education
I graduated from Robertson College in 2025 with a Veterinary Assistant diploma, after attending from 2024-2025.
Professional Background
I am WHMIS Certified and have completed Hill's Pet Wellness and Life Stages Nutrition and Hill's Small Animal Nutrition training.
Work History
Since graduating I have been working at St. James Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant from October 2025 to July 2026.
